McConell Jr. consider\u00f3 ilegal la pausa impuesta por la administraci\u00f3n de Donald Trump a los procesos migratorios de asilo, residencia permanente y permisos de trabajo, y orden\u00f3 reanudar de inmediato la revisi\u00f3n de los casos congelados a miles de solicitantes ante el Servicio de Inmigraci\u00f3n y Ciudadan\u00eda de Estados Unidos (USCIS por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El fallo del juez principal del Tribunal de Distrito de Estados Unidos para el Distrito de Rhode Island deja sin efecto cuatro pol\u00edticas espec\u00edficas de USCIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La primera es la pol\u00edtica que bloqueaba la adjudicaci\u00f3n final de solicitudes de asilo, permisos de trabajo, green cards y ciudadan\u00eda para nacionales de los 39 pa\u00edses incluidos en el llamado travel ban; la pausa de asilo, que suspend\u00eda todas las decisiones sobre asilo y protecci\u00f3n contra deportaci\u00f3n, independientemente de la nacionalidad del solicitante; la revisi\u00f3n de beneficios migratorios ya aprobados para personas de esos pa\u00edses que hab\u00edan ingresado a Estados Unidos desde el 20 de enero de 2021; y la que instru\u00eda a los funcionarios de USCIS a usar el pa\u00eds de origen como factor negativo significativo al decidir solicitudes migratorias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\"
