The Washington Post report\u00f3 que la marcha atr\u00e1s lleg\u00f3 tras conversaciones con la Casa Blanca y con la propia TSA, en medio de cr\u00edticas por el impacto inmediato que tendr\u00eda desactivar un carril dise\u00f1ado para agilizar controles de seguridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La confusi\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 cuando DHS comunic\u00f3 que, por restricciones presupuestarias derivadas del <em>shutdown<\/em>, se pausar\u00edan programas de \u201cviajero confiable\u201d, incluyendo PreCheck y Global Entry. Reuters tambi\u00e9n recogi\u00f3 el mensaje de DHS, que justific\u00f3 \u201cdecisiones duras\u201d de personal y recursos durante el cierre parcial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En resumen, no se trat\u00f3 de que PreCheck \u201cnunca\u201d fuera a cerrarse, sino de una rectificaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y operativa: el costo de apagarlo era demasiado visible.
