Reconocida especialmente por el p\u00fablico de la Isla por su papel como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cuballama.com\/noticias\/maikel-amelia-sobre-la-actuacion-de-enrique-bueno-eres-una-mente\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">la mayor Luc\u00eda en el programa polic\u00edaco \u00abTras la Huella\u00bb<\/a>, Maikel es uno de los rostros m\u00e1s prominentes en la televisi\u00f3n cubana en la actualidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nacida en Manzanillo, Granma, hered\u00f3 su pasi\u00f3n por el arte de su familia, con su padre siendo violinista y su madre profesora de Historia del Arte. Desde muy joven, comenz\u00f3 a explorar el mundo art\u00edstico, inicialmente enfoc\u00e1ndose en la m\u00fasica. Inici\u00f3 sus estudios de Piano B\u00e1sico en la Academia Manuel Navarro, y m\u00e1s tarde el nivel elemental en la Academia de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas Carlos Enrique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de su formaci\u00f3n musical y art\u00edstica, se gradu\u00f3 en Direcci\u00f3n de Radio, Cine y Televisi\u00f3n en la Facultad de las Artes y de los Medios de Comunicaci\u00f3n Audiovisual (FAMCA) en la ciudad de Holgu\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde joven, mostr\u00f3 una gran pasi\u00f3n por la radio, participando en programas de la emisora local de su ciudad natal, Radio Granma. Su inclinaci\u00f3n por las artes esc\u00e9nicas la llev\u00f3 a formar parte de diversos grupos teatrales, como Teatro Ategua, Teatro Alas, Conjunto Teatral Dram\u00e1tico de Granma y el Grupo de Teatro Cimarr\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su debut en la televisi\u00f3n nacional fue con la telenovela \u00abAqu\u00ed Estamos\u00bb, donde interpret\u00f3 el papel de Katia. Posteriormente, obtuvo su primer protag\u00f3nico en \u00abSanta Mar\u00eda del Porvenir\u00bb como Mar\u00eda Fernanda.
